In 13th AWID international Forum 2016, which was held in Brazilian city Salvador, near to Atlantic Ocean, there were 9 participants from Armenia. This was a good opportunity to represent our country, to introduce the processes and activities of organizations and initiatives.
During these four days there were not only feminists and women's rights advocates gathered on one platform sharing their vast experience, but also a number of allies from different social groups and initiatives. The forum brought together various participants, there we got opportunity to share our differences, diversity, being together and celebrating the victory of our existence. To celebrate the success of our existence, the growth and the heights we have reached and in spite of the most difficult challenges we faced, we still continue to stay true to this long "journey".
AWID 2016 Forum was also a good opportunity to learn about yourself, the world around you, to understand the violence and inequality of complex and polarized word, the solutions to this encountered problems. The plenary meetings, sessions and art collective events gave you great energy and help to identify, establish contacts with various activists around the world and opportunity to learn about people whose experience is different from the experience in your culture.
Each course and event, which was launched during the Forum, was very unique and important. As an activist who tries to show her activism through the arts, I was very impressed and interested in the seminar-workshop held by The Fearless art collective. During this workshop the participants had to build a feministic village where the only dominant thing would be the love, love formed non-profit organizations which would contribute the constructive progress of public interests and people.
The experience I got from The Forum inspired me much and create an opportunity to think and act differently, seek creative solutions to the problems arising out of the measures and approaches, to share all information with friends and relatives.
